Brick and block layer wanted in Slough

Join our team: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Slough, England. You will be based at a renovation and extension job. On the job you will handle: • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays You should have: • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Meals and transport allowance provided. Full-time with occasional weekends. Contact us to fix an interview.
