We are recruiting: blocklayer (Maine)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a blocklayer in Penobscot County, Maine. Day-to-day duties: • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go You should have: • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage Full-time with occasional weekends. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. We offer $26 per hour plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
