Great opportunity: sand plant operator (Georgia)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Clarke County, Georgia. Day to day you will apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale. You should have: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
