Pipe tig welder — Montgomery County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Montgomery County, Alabama. You will work at a precision engineering workshop. Requirements: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Own basic hand tools and PPE Day to day you will prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; carry out 6G pipe welds where required; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges.
