Lathe programmer-operator — Carteret County

Now hiring: we are hiring a lathe programmer-operator in Carteret County, North Carolina. On a typical shift you will check diameters and lengths against the spec sheet; measure finished parts with micrometers and vernier calipers; read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T tolerances; change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear; run first-off inspection and sign off the part; deburr and chamfer machined parts by hand. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work rotating day and night shifts • Working knowledge of G-code and M-code • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred Pay around $3,400 per month, based on your experience.
