Furnace operator — Vance County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a furnace operator in Vance County, North Carolina. Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards Day-to-day duties: • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring Part-time with flexible hours.
