Argon welding operator — Zangon Kataf

Vacancy available: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Zangon Kataf, Kaduna State. You will work on a structural steel site. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection Day to day you will tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent. 2+ years on the tools preferred.
