Fettler — Wichita County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a fettler in Wichita County, Kansas. You will work in a non-ferrous casting shop. The role involves melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant. Ideal candidate: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Meals and transport allowance provided. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
