Urgent requirement: we are hiring a core maker in Ijero, Ekiti State. You will be based in a non-ferrous casting shop. What we are looking for: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards On the job you will handle: • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture 6+ years on the tools preferred.
