HGV driver — Washington County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a HGV driver in Washington County, Colorado. On the job you will handle: • Keep a safe following distance, adjusting for weather and load • Check load weight and axle distribution against permitted limits • Plan routes and rest stops in line with driving-hours rules • Couple and uncouple the trailer and check the fifth-wheel lock • Reverse and carry out blind-side manoeuvres at loading bays • Check tyre pressures, engine oil, coolant and brake fluid levels Requirements: • Clean driving record with no recent endorsements • Valid HGV/LGV Class 1 (C+E) licence • Good knowledge of driving-hours and tachograph rules $240 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
