The role involves fault-find control circuits with a multimeter and test instruments; set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear; rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables; service the traction motor, brake and gearbox; respond to entrapment call-outs and release trapped passengers; adjust door operator timing and re-levelling accuracy. You should have: • 2+ years on lift installation and maintenance • Physically fit to lift heavy components and crawl in tight spaces 6+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts.
