Immediate opening: escalator technician (Virginia)

Great opportunity: we are hiring an escalator technician in Giles County, Virginia. You will work in a residential tower block. What we are looking for: • ITI in electrical/mechanical or an equivalent trade certificate • Physically fit to lift heavy components and crawl in tight spaces • Comfortable working at height and in confined hoistways The role involves adjust door operator timing and re-levelling accuracy; wire up the controller, encoder and limit switches; service the traction motor, brake and gearbox; top up the oil and bleed the cylinder on hydraulic lifts; fill in the service logbook and statutory inspection paperwork. 6+ years on the tools preferred. Pay around $30 per hour, based on your experience. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
