Now hiring: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Rice County, Minnesota. You will work at a rebar fabrication workshop. Requirements: • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing You will lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman; fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover; cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder; read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules. 1+ years on the tools preferred.
