Now hiring: we are hiring a power float operator in Kearny County, Kansas. On the job you will handle: • Carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab • Erect and align timber and steel shuttering before each pour • Give broom or steel-trowel finishes as specified • Load, hoist and barrow concrete to the upper floors • Cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods • Able to work to tight pour schedules and night pours • Able to read structural drawings and bar bending schedules Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
