Argon welding operator — Sabine Parish

Immediate opening: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Sabine Parish, Louisiana. You will be based in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. You will run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer. You should have: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work 2+ years on the tools preferred. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
