EHS coordinator — DeKalb County

Now hiring: we are hiring an EHS coordinator in DeKalb County, Alabama. What we are looking for: • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot • Minimum 2-3 years on construction or factory sites • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces You will check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements; stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action; record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date; enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment; take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry; run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points.
