Industrial sewing operator — Sarpy County

Immediate opening: we are hiring an industrial sewing operator in Sarpy County, Nebraska. The job is in a sampling and tailoring workshop. Ideal candidate: • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens On the job you will handle: • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line Full-time with occasional weekends.
