Plasterer's mate • Gloucester County, New Jersey

Immediate opening: we are hiring a plasterer's mate in Gloucester County, New Jersey. You will work on a busy domestic building site. You will clean trowels, buckets and mixers before the plaster sets; tape and joint plasterboard seams with scrim and filler; apply scratch coats and key the surface for the next coat; dot-and-dab plasterboard to walls and ceilings; set up trestles and scaffold boards for ceiling work; apply bonding and browning undercoats to brickwork and blockwork. Ideal candidate: • Own set of trowels, floats, hawk and buckets • Able to mix plaster to the right consistency by feel • Physically fit for lifting bags of plaster and mixing all day Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Pay around $4,300 per month, based on your experience. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
