Overlocker operator — Mercer County

Great opportunity: we are hiring an overlocker operator in Mercer County, Pennsylvania. You will be based on an export house sewing floor. Day to day you will thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line; set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges. Requirements: • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory 5+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
