Immediate opening: elevator service technician (Ohio)

Immediate opening: we are hiring an elevator service technician in Logan County, Ohio. The job is in a residential tower block. You will set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear; fill in the service logbook and statutory inspection paperwork; top up the oil and bleed the cylinder on hydraulic lifts; replace worn sheaves, rollers, contactors and relays; wire up the controller, encoder and limit switches; install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway. You should have: • Ability to read electrical and wiring schematics • ITI in electrical/mechanical or an equivalent trade certificate • Comfortable working at height and in confined hoistways 5+ years on the tools preferred.
