Brick mason — Harrison County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a brick mason in Harrison County, Mississippi. Requirements: • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) Day-to-day duties: • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
