Immediate opening: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Lea County, New Mexico. You will be based on an infrastructure project such as a metro or flyover. The role involves: • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust What we are looking for: • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level Full-time with occasional weekends.
