Urgent requirement: we are hiring a blocklayer in Searcy County, Arkansas. You will work at a renovation and extension job. You should have: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage The role involves raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish; erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod; pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser.
