Rigger — Uyo

Immediate opening: we are hiring a rigger in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather Day to day you will inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift.
