Sewing machine operator • Hidalgo County, New Mexico

Vacancy available: we are hiring a sewing machine operator in Hidalgo County, New Mexico. You will be based in a sampling and tailoring workshop. Your main tasks: • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes You should have: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
