Now hiring: we are hiring a crawler crane operator in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. The job is at a container port and shipping yard. Day to day you will work out the load weight and the lifting radius; fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure; grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands; set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground; keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL); read and interpret the load chart before every lift. You should have: • Strong attention to safety and load limits • Understanding of hand and radio signals • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. We offer $4,100 per month plus benefits. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
