Join our team: we are hiring a moulder in Chambers County, Texas. You should have: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards Day-to-day duties: • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes Pay around $4,100 per month, based on your experience.
