Bread baker — Allamakee County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a bread baker in Allamakee County, Iowa. You will be based in a bread factory. Your main tasks: • Decorate cakes with icing, fondant and fresh cream • Shape loaves, rolls, baguettes and buns by hand • Boil sugar syrup for glazes and icing • Weigh and mix flour, yeast, water and salt to the day's recipe • Pipe and fill cakes, pastries and cream rolls • Prove dough in the proofer at the right temperature and humidity You should have: • Able to stand for long hours in a hot kitchen • Basic cake decorating and piping skills • Able to lift 25 kg flour sacks Six days a week, one day off. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Walk-in interviews this week.
