Ideal candidate: • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles The role involves: • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear Overtime paid at a premium rate.
