Immediate opening: we are hiring a tyre fitter in Cortland County, New York. You should have: • Able to lift heavy car and truck tyres repeatedly • Knowledge of correct torque settings and TPMS resets Day-to-day duties: • Check tread depth with a depth gauge and spot uneven wear • Carry out wheel alignment and adjust camber and toe • Torque the wheel nuts to spec with a torque wrench • Vulcanize larger cuts on commercial tyres • Balance wheels on a computerised wheel balancer and fit clip-on weights • Keep the tyre bay tidy and dispose of scrap tyres At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
