Counter butcher — Washington County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a counter butcher in Washington County, Iowa. You will work at an abattoir or slaughterhouse. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling Day to day you will trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts; run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone; mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone. Six days a week, one day off. Pay around $3,300 per month, based on your experience. Contact us to fix an interview.
