Join our team: we are hiring a construction helper in Smith County, Kansas. The job is on a residential housing site. Ideal candidate: • Prior experience as a labourer on building or civil sites • Basic knowledge of hand tools like shovel, trowel and breaker You will cure freshly laid concrete by sprinkling water for several days; mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer; clear debris and sweep the slab before the next pour; fix and strip shuttering and formwork for beams and columns; hand tools and materials up to workers on the upper floors; break out old walls and concrete with a jackhammer breaker. 6+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
