Flatlock machine operator wanted in Washington County

Now hiring: we are hiring a flatlock machine operator in Washington County, Illinois. You will work in a textile and apparel unit. You should have: • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus The role involves: • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
