Hoist operator — Gulani

We are recruiting: we are hiring a hoist operator in Gulani, Yobe State. You will be based at a shipbuilding yard. The role involves grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands; carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block; park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift; keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL); rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams. Ideal candidate: • Strong attention to safety and load limits • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts • A good head for heights for tower crane work At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
