Urgent requirement: pressman (England)

Join our team: we are hiring a pressman in Borough of Thurrock, England. You will work in a tailoring workshop. You will hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents; sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number; use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics; remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron; keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure. What we are looking for: • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine Meals and transport allowance provided. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
