Pastry baker — Jackson County

Join our team: we are hiring a pastry baker in Jackson County, Texas. You will work at an in-store supermarket bakery. What we are looking for: • Able to stand for long hours in a hot kitchen • Understanding of food-safety and HACCP basics You will shape loaves, rolls, baguettes and buns by hand; check finished products for colour, crumb and weight; monitor oven temperature and baking time for each batch; laminate puff and croissant dough by folding in the butter; prove dough in the proofer at the right temperature and humidity. 3+ years on the tools preferred. $4,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
