Immediate opening: we are hiring a presser in Seward County, Kansas. You will work at a textile finishing unit. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases The role involves: • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure Rotating shifts. $3,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
