Excavator operator — Sterling County

Immediate opening: we are hiring an excavator operator in Sterling County, Texas. Requirements: • Minimum 2-3 years' experience operating earthmoving machinery • Awareness of site safety, PPE and lifting procedures Your main tasks: • Level and grade the road sub-base to the surveyor's pegs and string lines • Work in coordination with the banksman and ground crew on signals • Keep a safe distance from excavation edges and overhead lines • Backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations • Load trucks with spoil, aggregate and overburden using the bucket • Top up diesel, inspect hydraulic hoses for leaks and report defects Rotating shifts.
