Flatlock machine operator — Franklin County

Join our team: we are hiring a flatlock machine operator in Franklin County, Vermont. You will work at a busy garment factory. Day-to-day duties: • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line Requirements: • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens We offer $2,700 per month plus benefits.
