Join our team: we are hiring a precision welder in Peoria County, Illinois. The job is in a food and dairy equipment factory. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day The role involves: • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges Full-time with occasional weekends.
