Gtaw welder — Columbus County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Columbus County, North Carolina. You will work at a busy sheet-metal workshop. Requirements: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight On the job you will handle: • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal 1+ years on the tools preferred. We offer $4,300 per month plus benefits. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
