Now hiring: we are hiring a blocklayer in Yates County, New York. On a typical shift you will raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; laying bricks to the line, level and plumb. What we are looking for: • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time with occasional weekends.
