Core maker — Decatur County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a core maker in Decatur County, Kansas. You will work in the fettling and dressing shop. You should have: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts The role involves inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges. At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. We offer $2,600 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
