Join our team: bar bender and fixer (Virginia)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in City of Bristol, Virginia. You will be based at a rebar fabrication workshop. On a typical shift you will form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions; check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour; lap and splice bars to the specified lap length; cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder; set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift; read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules. You should have: • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
