Great opportunity: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Cass County, Nebraska. You will be based at an automotive body and exhaust shop. Requirements: • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination On a typical shift you will back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer. Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Full-time, day shift. Share your details and we will call you back.
