Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of petrol and diesel engines • Good eyesight and methodical fault-finding • Confident using diagnostic scan tools The role involves: • Replace alternators, starter motors and batteries • Replace shock absorbers, ball joints and track-rod ends • Replace exhaust systems and catalytic converters • Trace electrical faults in the starting and charging systems • Service and replace timing belts and chains • Diagnose engine faults using an OBD-II scan tool At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
