Restoration bricklayer — Buncombe County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a restoration bricklayer in Buncombe County, North Carolina. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one Day-to-day duties: • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge $3,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
