Aluminium tig welder — Pendleton County

Great opportunity: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Pendleton County, West Virginia. What we are looking for: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through Your main tasks: • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters Part-time with flexible hours.
