We are recruiting: we are hiring a bricklayer in Etsako West, Edo. The job is at a groundworks and structures site. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) The role involves: • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
