Great opportunity: bakery assistant (Connecticut)

Join our team: we are hiring a bakery assistant in Greater Bridgeport Planning Region, Connecticut. You will be based at a café with an on-site bakery. On the job you will handle: • Check finished products for colour, crumb and weight • Monitor oven temperature and baking time for each batch • Grease and clean baking trays, tins and moulds • Decorate cakes with icing, fondant and fresh cream • Knead and develop dough by hand and in the spiral mixer • Load and unload the deck oven with a peel What we are looking for: • Able to work early-morning and night shifts • Able to lift 25 kg flour sacks • Knowledge of dough fermentation and proving At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
